The Recession's Over!

Oh boy, is the state run media going giddy today! What surprises me is the stock market is buying into this crap!

Yes, the unemployment rate has dropped from 9.5% to 9.4%. Just .1%. Or in mathematical terms, ONE TENTH OF A PER CENT! So the recession is over! Happy days are here again!

That's what they're trying to tell us today via the state run media and at the White House. (Disclaimer: It is not our intention to be racist when using the term "White" in describing the residence of Barrack Hussein Obama. We are simply using the proper historical references. Thank you for your understanding.)

Remember all of those auto dealers that were shut down last month because of the bankruptcies of Chrysler and General (I mean "Obama"....) Motors??? Those dealers and their sales reps DO NOT RECEIVE UNEMPLOYMENT! They are NOT COUNTED AMONG THE UNEMPLOYED! They are "self employed"....

As a reminder, there are also other factors that the left ALWAYS brought up when it came to the Bush unemployment numbers:

1) The figures do not take into account the part-time employed.
2) They don't take into account those that have given up looking for work.
3) They don't count the homeless.

The REAL unemployment rate is 16.3%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really would like to see the economy get better. I own a small business. However, things are NOT getting better.

I had to visit the local food pantry yesterday to help feed my family. (Since I am self employed, just like car dealers and car sales personnel, I cannot collect government benefits....)

This food pantry is really concerned. This is the first time that families have overlapped from the last of the month....the time when most family budgets hit a snag....to THE FIRST OF THE MONTH! This food pantry has seen a RECORD NUMBER of visitors during the first week in August and they are SCARED! The pantry is scared that they will not be able to feed people who show up at the end of August!

So just remember...."Happy Days Are Here Again!" Yipeee! The recession is over!!

(Oh, I almost forgot! Gasoline went up again today....)
